Your instructor is Melissa Wiley. Melissa has been creating beautiful glass mosaic windows for over seven years. When she is not upcycling old things, you can find her sharing ideas and working with other local artists.

About the class
Students will create a beautiful glass mosaic window suitable for hanging, using stained glass scraps. No experience necessary. They will learn how to safely handle glass and how to use tools to score, cut and shape glass. This is a multi-day class- March 11th, 18th and 25th. The fourth class will be for an hour and is where you learn to grout. That date will be determined by the group. STUDENTS NEED TO BRING THEIR OWN WOODEN FRAME WINDOW FOR THIS PROJECT. Make sure the glass is secured in the window pane (no older, fragile windows). If in need of a window, please contact the school to purchase one ($10 each). NO OPEN TOED SHOES. Wear long pants and sleeves. Bring a pair of safety glasses.
