THANK YOU!
for making our first thrift store season such an overwhelming success! Together, we raised enough funds to repair the windows, patch the roof and spruce up the outside of the building a bit. It was a lot of fun getting to see you all through the summer! See you again in the Spring!
THE STORE WILL REOPEN IN THE SPRING!
Days and hours to be determined. If you would like to donate thrift items until then, we accept decent, clean household items, garden, craft, electronics, building materials and furniture in good condition. Please no shoes, clothing or mattresses. Over the winter, we can't accept upholstered furniture, stuffed animals, books, or other items that won't store well in a building with no heat. You can drop off other items at the office M-TH 9AM to 1PM (call first) or call Deb to arrange a different time.
WE HOPE TO GET MORE FARMERS SELLING THEIR GOODS SO IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SET UP AND SELL YOUR PRODUCE/FARM PRODUCTS OUTSIDE FOR FREE, CALL DEB IN THE SPRING TO ARRANGE FOR YOUR SPOT! 423-915-9830
The Scott building is the first brick building on the right, across from the cemetery after you turn onto Washington College Rd. from Old State Route 34.
The Scott building was built in 1934 by Washington County Board of Education so that WCA could teach area school children. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is in need of a new roof and windows (to start). The Thrift store is an opportunity to help raise money for this great building!
